Keeping up with the Jones.

We all know the Jones’ are the people who have everything we want and dream about. They make us step out of who we really are and try to portray something that we’re not. Some people have it so bad they have convinced themselves they are a Jones. Instead of just being a Smith or Taylor. If you don’t have a clue on what I am talking about let me break down for you so you can begin to pick them out or hell if you’re one of them you can see what people really think of you and then maybe you will start to enjoy being yourself. Now a wannabe Jones is the fake ass dude with the hot car but sleeps on a twin size bed in a basement. Or maybe the chick who steals designers’ clothes to try to look like she is a superstar. Then, she buys a bootleg designer bag for the outfit and tells everyone it’s real when you seen that same bag at flea market. The man who is in the club making it drizzle because he doesn’t have enough money to make it rain and please believe he’s not even throwing big bills. It’s just dollars! Like we going to the damn candy store after the club is over. I don’t know about you but I want a full breakfast and not a dollar menu sandwich. And my all time favorite that both men and women do to be a Jones is their hair is done, shape up is tight, clothes are also fresh (whether they are bootleg or not) and not one bill is paid and they are ready to go to the club with a quarter tank of gas. That shit blows my mind. I understand times are hard but if you would just be yourself we wouldn’t expect anything more. As you can see we have all have been exposed to these imposters. Some of us have experienced them first hand by having them as friends and others have met them at various places. Why do you think these people do what they do? Is there anything wrong with being a Johnson a mother works a 9 to 5 or a father who works hard to pay his child support. Who said you had to look like money? You don’t see Bill Gates looking like billions of dollars and hell he has billion of dollars literally. Being someone else only attracts those people who want you for something else. There are quiet a few women who are too stupid to look beyond this and assume that a man with a nice car has to have money. When exactly all his money goes to his car payments. And men just because she is over 35 don’t mean she is going to take you in and care for you. Therefore, it is best to be ourselves because true friends and lovers will come that will be perfect for you and your lifestyle. Stay in your circle and be who you are. Not everyone is meant to be a Jones and if God wanted it that way then, we all would be rich. Be a Johnson, Smith, or even a Taylor as long as you’re being who are you and the bills are paid what can people say and who cares what they say because your bills are paid. And if you can’t pay the bills stay out the stores, clubs, and anywhere else that will cost you money. Until next time handle your scandals!
